Abstract

This paper is an analysis of the need for and modalities of Eco-Innovation in the context of achieving an ambitious goal, which is to achieve the performance of "Zero Waste."Although through different methods, it is possible to significantly reduce the quantity of waste, there will always be a certain amount of waste that can only be eliminated by means that are damaging to the environment. The solution for this is the redesign of products that cannot be reused, recycled or biodegradable, so that they will not have a damaging environmental impact at the end of their life cycle. This requires Eco-Innovation for most products and processes.
