Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to sketch a possible approach on several problems of philosophical historiography. If the propositions used by the historians of philosophy are truth-bearers, then there should be an underlying theory of truth for each approach. The paper discusses the case of the coherence theory of truth through the main criteria, consistency, and sets general lines for future possible developments.
