,

REVISTA DE CHIMIE (Bucharest Chemistry Library Press, Romania) , 27(3), 245-250. (1976) .

Abstract

A general outline concerning the possible uses of amperometric senzors for continuous monitoring of the oxygen content of gases and liquids given. The following topics are briefly presented : spontaneous cells without and/or with external voltage source, the theory of membrane- covered electrodes, their transference function and temperature dependence; coulometric sensors with 100% coulometric efficiency, the advantages of partially emerging electrodes respectively. Performance data are given relating to the characteristics of a membrane-electrode constructed by the authors.
