Studia Universitatis Babeș-Bolyai, Philologia, 61 (3), 231-238 (2016) .

Abstract

This paper intended to emphasize the fact that foreign learning language implies being able to communicate effectively in diverse cultural and linguistic contexts. Therefore, in an increasingly multicultural society, the development of a competence that facilitates appropriate cultural and linguistic transfers needs to be considered. The paper provides details about the challenges and positive aspects of learning a foreign language in a multicultural and multilingual context. The educational landscape has undergone considerable changes in order to accommodate the learning process to the requirements imposed by a globalized society.
